Automotive Service Advisor / Service Writer
Temporary Full-Time Position | Potential for Permanent Opportunity
Thornton Chevrolet is looking for an experienced Automotive Service Advisor / Service Writer to join our service team for an immediate temporary opening.
This position is expected to last approximately four months and is being created to provide coverage during an extended employee absence. While this is initially a temporary position, there is potential for the right candidate to transition into a permanent full-time position within our organization based on business needs and mutual fit.

Compensation & Benefits
- $70,000–$90,000 annualized earning potential
- Salary plus bonus

Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM–5:00 PM
- One Saturday per month
- No late evenings
- Consistent, predictable schedule
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and discuss their vehicle service and repair needs
- Write and manage repair orders from check-in through completion
- Communicate technician findings and recommended repairs to customers
- Provide repair estimates and keep customers informed throughout the repair process
- Coordinate with technicians and parts personnel to maintain an efficient workflow
- Review completed repairs and invoices with customers
- Follow up with customers and provide a professional, positive service experience
What We’re Looking For
- Previous automotive service advisor/service writer experience required
- Dealership service experience preferred
- Strong customer communication and organizational skills
- Experience managing repair orders, estimates, recommendations, and customer follow-up
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced service environment and managing multiple customers and repair orders
- Basic computer skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Dependable, professional, and team-oriented
Experience with Auto/Mate DMS is a plus. Familiarity with our specific systems is not necessary—we will provide training on our software, procedures, and dealership processes.
